Having travelled overseas, we understand what it’s like coming to a foreign country, with a different language and ways of doing things. Our best experiences were when people took the time to talk and share about their own lives and give us relevant information to make our stay enjoyable. Our hope is that we can do this for people coming to Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Sharing a meal, an experience, our home and our lives has always been part of our family, and we have always welcomed people to stay for an hour, a week or a year; as long as they need. Instant friends have been made over curry cooked on a campfire out bush, or spending time in the pool on a summer day. Move Goldfields is an extension of our shared love for showing hospitality to new people.
Many people who come to Kalgoorlie-Boulder are far from family and friends. Some struggle to find their place or they miss the beach or long for the city life. Our aim is to make the transition smooth, to ensure each person who arrives here has information that will help them connect and find their new ‘tribe’. To have that support is vital for emotional and mental wellbeing, so whether it’s a new mum, kids and teens, working blokes, professionals or even retirees, we have people who will become your Goldfields family … and it won’t take long!
